Russ and I have researched and observed many of the world's finest trainers and have come to the conclusion that John Lyons' training style most represents how we feel about our horses and how we would like to teach them to be soft, responsive and safe as we ride and work with them. Therefore, we have devoted ourselves to following only John Lyons methods here at BaR G Ranch. Not only are John's methods simple and effective, but we feel that John as a person sets the example we want to follow.

We specialize in retraining both horse and rider, trying to achieve a natural harmony. If you're frustrated with your horse and tired of the old, forceful training methods, stop repeating your mistakes. Give us a call. I think we can help!

"I am a novice horse owner who has loved horses and always wanted to own one since childhood. I took the big step in September 2001 and purchased Sonny, a beautiful Palomino Arabian gelding. I took lessons for a month before moving him to a stable close to my home. I was confident that we were ready to be on our own. Boy was I wrong! After two months, Sonny had enough of me on his back. His number one goal was to get me off. Nothing that I tried seemed to work. Then I called Beth Gordon at the Bar_G_Ranch. She took Sonny in and in 3 months changed his entire demeanor and outlook. Using very gentle techniques, and lots of patience, she turned Sonny into my dream horse. She also trained me on how to handle his quirks and what to do in various situations. He is a pleasure to ride and we are growing closer everyday. My confidence is high, and his stress level is low. I would recommend Bar_G_Ranch to anyone looking to improve their relationship with their horse, improve their horses' disposition, or just become a better horse communicator."
